Things To Do
Walking
Shropshire and the surrounding countryside is a haven for walkers and ramblers, whether tackling a challenging walk across the hills or a pleasant stroll in the countryside. Highlights close to Bon Accueil include the local prehistoric mosses and meres (SSSIs) which also provide rich rewards for bird-watchers. The Shropshire Way and The Sandstone Trail both pass close by and, within a short drive, you can visit Pistyll Rhaeadr which, at 240 ft tall, is the highest waterfall in Wales and England.

Cycling
It's also great to get out and about on a bike in Shropshire. Discover hundreds of miles of National Cycle Network routes along quiet lanes; explore traffic-free trails along old railways and waterways; follow the cycle rides to historic towns or get muddy on mountain bike tracks in woods and forests. Whitchurch is a great base for several routes ranging from 9 to 27 miles. Cycled over a day with a picnic lunch or stopover at a local pub these really are great routes to explore the area, navigating a maze of quiet country lanes taking in mosses, canals, meres and gentle hills.
