Accommodation
Two 5 star holiday cottages in traditional surroundings.
Bon Accueil consists of the Main House - a modernised Georgian Country House sleeping 10 (plus 2 infants in cots) and a converted Coach House with totally self-contained accommodation for an additional 4 guests - ideal for those in larger groups who may want a little more privacy from time to time. Both properties are joined across a courtyard by a fully air-conditioned, indoor heated swimming pool.
Normally, larger groups use both The Main House and The Coach House together at weekends and during school holidays. This means that the Coach House is available to smaller groups of up to 4 (plus 1 cot) who are able to take mid-week breaks throughout the year but who still want the luxury of having their own, private swimming pool, sauna and spa. Please click here for small group availability and prices.
A number of guests ask about the name Bon Accueil (pronounced "Boh-nah-koy-eh") - meaning "good reception" or "welcome". The property will be available from 4:00 pm (2 pm for Coach House Mid-Week Breaks). Guests will be greeted personally on arrival and briefly shown around both the property and the pool. All beds will be made including duvets and any requested cots. Fresh towels will be provided, including bathing sheets, along with a complimentary welcome pack including a starter supply of toiletries, kitchen towel, dishwasher powder, washing powder, washing-up liquid and toilet rolls. Electricity, oil fired central heating and hot water is also included. The Main House has secure parking with electrically operated gates and The Coach House has secure parking for 2 cars.
Please note that Bon Accueil does not permit pets and is strictly a non-smoking property.
Special Requirements
So that we can advise whether our property is compatible with your needs, please discuss your requirements at the time of booking. Be assured that we will do everything we can to help those in your party with special requirements. We have a detailed Access Statement and are very happy to provide this should you require.
Guests using a walking aid should have no difficulty in accessing the principal rooms in the Main House (sitting room, dining room, kitchen, the downstairs bedroom and wc/shower room). We have installed access ramps to the Coach House and the swimming pool building along with French windows to the Coach House living room and the Main House dining room. However, doorways within this pre 1850 house are considerably smaller than modern standard, the halls are quite narrow and, due to its size, a wheelchair would not gain access to the downstairs wc/shower room. Access to the swimming pool is via roman steps; there is no handrail.
